SPRAY TAN PARTY FOR END OF TERM BEAUTY STUDENTS


Students attending the Beauty Specialist Diploma course at Durham New College
were treated to a special end of term bash when they hosted their own spray
tan party; however, the party had its serious side, as the students were there
to learn how to perform the perfect spray tan.

The course subjects included: Operation & maintenance of an airbrush and
compressor; understand how the chemical reaction works; the difference between
 spray tan solutions; health and safety precautions; aftercare advise as well
as hints & tips on how to perform the perfect spray tan.

"It really broke the ice, the students thoroughly enjoyed the course & found
their tans to be really natural" said course tutor (& reluctant model) Pauline
Hunt."It was great, we all found it really good fun as well as learning
something new".

"We are finding that there is an ever increasing demand for spray tan training
& demonstrations at schools & colleges" Said Richard Brown of Siennasol. We
are really benefitting from getting in at the grass roots & showing students
how they can easily perform the perfect spray tan everytime".

"It was nice to work with so many enthusiastic students, they picked up the
techniques very quickly & really enjoyed learning" said Nicola Scott who
delivered the course on behalf of The Albion Academy & Siennasol Spray Tan
Solutions. "We are already arranging another course for the tutors. Because we
are members of The Guild we are able to offer CPD Points, tutors now need
these in order to maintain their skills".

The students were all using Siennasol Bronze tanning solution through a bank
of new Iwata Silver Jet spray tan kits, "We are really pleased with the Iwatas
we have found them to work flawlessly, students find them easy to use &
maintain & the tans come out beautifully. " said Nicola Scott.

The students each received an Albion Academy Certificate, which is accredited
to The Guild of Professional Beauty Therapists."We are expecting a few extra
spray tan parties (in Durham) over the summer holidays," Said Pauline Hunt,
Course Tutor.
